For the Educators In any early childhood setting, team work and effective communication are essential requirements for positive outcomes across all aspects of the Services’ functioning, for ‘together everyone achieves more”.Educators are responsive to all children’s strengths, abilities and interests. We will value and build on children’s strengths, skills and knowledge to ensure their motivation and engagement in learning (EYLF).
We aim to create an environment of trust and respect, where we work towards achieving a shared goal. Ongoing education and training is a critical aspect of staff’s professional development. It is through accurate evaluation and assessment, which occurs when we critically reflect on our actions, that we are able to identify areas which may be considered a skill and those which may need further development.
We recognize Educators/Staff as our Service’s most precious resource and aim to provide them with a satisfying and safe working environment. Further we also appreciate the experience and skills of all Educators/Staff. We appreciate their dedication as an integral element of the success of our Service.
IT TAKES A BIG HEART TO HELP SHAPE A LITTLE MIND
We feel that our staff are our most valuable asset, and that when our staff are happy, the children and their families are happy too. Our Early Childhood professionals are genuinely dedicated to the development of every child. They bring their own individual skills and experiences to the classroom enhancing their own personal teaching style. We work together as a team; respecting, fostering and utilising the expertise of each individual. Staff role model fair and inclusive practices that promote equality and a strong sense of belonging. We realise that reciprocal relationships are central to children’s ongoing education and care.
At Dinky Di, the staff reflect on the needs and interests of each child and provide extensions to their knowledge and abilities through discovery, guidance, encouragement and with constant input and communication from family.
Staff in children’s rooms work weekly rotating shifts, with regular casual staff employed to cover staff absences, ensuring familiarity and stability for you and your child. In accordance with regulatory requirements, all staff on the Dinky Di team are approved through a ‘Working With Children Check’.

We couldn’t be happier with Dinky Dis. After changing day cares we worried that it would take time for Quinn to adapt and settle again But this was not the case. Quinn settled immediately and is always happy in the updates we receive. She’s loving her time at Dinky dis and we are very happy as well. We love the daily updates and pictures always the best part of our days is receiving them. The staff have been very welcoming and loving and caring towards Quinn
When I moved to the local area I was hesitant to change my son’s daycare. I went to a couple of orientations at the local daycare providers and dinky di stood out from the rest. my son and I are so happy, he settled in quickly due to the way staff love and support him, every teacher in the daycare knows my child by name and likes, dislikes and comforts, even teachers that are not in his room. I also receive daily photos and updates of what he has been up to and also what he has eaten. I would recommend this school to everyone. one very happy mother and son
“We moved our 4yo from a small local centre (where she had been since 1yo) to Dinky Di Tumbi Umbi when she was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and a 12 month learning delay and it was the best decision we have made! She has advanced ten fold in language, socialising and toilet training in just 5 months. Our OT did a preschool visit after 2 months and commented that she was a different child and Dinky Di already had in place all the interventions she usually recommends to centres! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality, consistent and positive focused care”
